Reskin EGF Super Bomber Eye Serum Review
Today I am reviewing the Reskin EGF Super Bomber Eye Serum (25 ml). I was sent one of these (and an EGF Super Bomber Serum for Men, review here) earlier this month complimentary in exchange for my honest review of the product. Reskin is a Korean beauty brand that I am only recently familiar with because they sent me some of their reskin Solution Foam last month - Reskin Solution Foam review. The Reskin website has basic product descriptions but no ingredients lists. In fact I was unable to locate any full ingredients list online for this product. I checked CosDNA to see if there were any entries, but there was only one for the Women's serum so I made one: CosDNA Analysis of Reskin EGF Super Bomber Eye Serum.
Reskin EGF Super Bomber Eye Serum ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Niacinamide, Betaine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-40 Stearate, Pentylene Glycol, Rosa Centifolia Flower water, Portulaca Oleracea extract, Nymphaea Alba Flower extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Sorbitan Stearate, Synthetic Beeswax, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, PEG-100 Stearate, Butylyne Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Arginine, Polyacrylamide, c13-14 Isoparaffin, Dipotassium Glycrrhizate, Adenosine, Laureth-7, Sodium Hyaluronate, Isopropyl Myristate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Sodium Palmitoyl Proline, 1,2-Hexanediol, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, sh-Oligopeptide-1 (.2 ppm), Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, BHT, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance.
The EGF in the title stands for Epidermal Growth Factor, a polypeptide that speeds up wound recovery. According to Wikipedia it stimulates cell growth and regeneration and that its production is stimulated by testosterone. Hmmm...so do dudes have more of this naturally? Anyhow, there's still much controversy over EGF in the beauty industry as it is still relatively new. The EGF Super Bomber Serum comes in a few different potencies, varying in parts per million (ppm) of EGF. I wasn't able to find if the eye serum comes in two potencies as well, but this eye serum lists on box EGF as .2ppm.
The Reskin EGF Super Bomber Eye Serum is intended to brighten, firm, even skin-tone, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles around the eye. My main concern in my eye area is fine lines and darkness. I have been using this eye serum twice a day for a couple of weeks now in conjunction with the EGF Super Bomber Serum for Men.

Reskin EGF Super Bomber Eye Serum Individual Ratings (0 - 5)
- Effectiveness = 2.5
- This eye serum feels creamy upon application but doesn't look or feel greasy. Under eye area looks more plump directly after use and feels nourished. I did not notice any improvement in brightness, firmness, or evening of skin-tone.
- Packaging = 4
- The packaging and bottle have an attractive, modern design. The bottle and box are recyclable. The bottle has a plastic tab in the dispenser hole to keep product from coming out prior to use or for travel. The product dispenses easily from a pump top; one pump is plenty to cover the entire eye area. The one negative I can find is the bottle feels cheap and flimsy.
- Physical Qualities = 5
- It is a thin, opaque white lotion. It absorbs quickly, allowing me to layer other products over it immediately. It layers over other products well. The aroma is barely there and is reminiscent of herbal tea and rose hips.

As with all products, your mileage may vary (YMMV). The Reskin EGF Super Bomber Eye Serum is rich and hydrating but for the price tag on this product ($51 on Amazon, $47 on Reskin website, and $69 on Korea Depart) I would expect to see a more drastic improvement in firmness and wrinkle reduction. I couldn't find information about how long EGFs should take to start noticing changes so I'm going to finish this whole bottle off and see if it the effectiveness improves with long-term use as with many other types of skincare ingredients/products.
