Joyal Beauty Vitamin C Face Cream Review

Today I am reviewing Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Cream. I purchased this off of Amazon.com at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion of the product. I have never used any or heard of the Joyal products before but they look to be a fairly well established brand with six different collections of skincare products on their website. 

Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Cream Ingredients:

Purified Water, Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Organic Sunflower Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Vegetable Glycerin, Octyl Palmitate, Organic Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Cetyl Alcohol, Potassium Stearate, Organic Beeswax, Organic Jojoba Oil, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, MSM, Calophyllum Inophyllum, Borage Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Oregon Grape, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B5, Organic Arnica Montana, Lavender, Calendula, Chamomile, Grapeseed Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Sodium Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

Unfortunately the Joyal Beauty website did not have a complete ingredients list for this product (they left out all the ingredients that weren't juices or oils) and the CosDNA Entry for it was wrong (unsurprisingly as the source of the information was the website). I made a new entry for it with the ingredients listed on the packaging: CosDNA Analysis of Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Cream. I used this cream for two weeks but stopped due to moderate breakouts. The packaging says this product is intended for "Instant Hydration, Intensive Protection, Diminish Wrinkles, Refine Skin Texture, Treat Skin Disorders" so those are the qualities I will measure it on although I'm not sure what types of skin disorders it may help treat.

Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Cream Individual Ratings (0 - 5)

• Effectiveness = 2.5
• This cream did noticeably brighten skin with regular use over the course of two weeks. It is intensely hydrating. I did not notice any difference on my wrinkles or skin texture however it did break me out.
• Packaging = 4
• The packaging could be smaller but all of it is completely recyclable. The design and color scheme are not attractive. The cream dispenses via a pump top that is easy to control. 
• Physical Qualities =  5
• This cream is an opaque white and more like a thick lotion. It absorbs fast and leaves skin hydrated for hours after application.

Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Cream Total Rating = 3.5

As with all products, your mileage may vary (YMMV). My experience with this product was not great as it broke me out bad enough that it took a week to go away after I stopped using the cream, very likely due to the cocoa butter and jojoba oil.
